The Concordia French Department is constantly striving to find new ways to have our students become more culturally connected in the world, specifically with emphasis on francophone countries. Spring interim options always change as we are switching up our trips and developing new adventures for our students to go on.
Exploration Seminar 2024: Morocco Looking South

Embark on a thrilling monthlong adventure with Morocco Looking South, an immersive exploration of the captivating languages, cultures, and history of Morocco. Prepare to be inspired by a series of engaging lectures delivered by notable professors, artists, and filmmakers & participate in a service learning project; engaging with local NGOs, contribute to meaningful causes, and making a positive impact.


Exploration Seminar: France
This exploration seminar takes students the France to learn more about the history of medicine. Students visit l'Université de Tours' medical students in a cultural exchange. While in the Loire Valley, students also get to experience the rich history of the châteaux. Students then finish off their trip visiting the city of lights: Paris.
Exploration Seminar: Vietnam & Cambodia
Cobbers get the opportunity to explore parts of Asia with a French influence. Combining both vocation and vacation, in Battambang, Cambodia, students volunteer with Giving it Back to Kids to focus on health issues of women & children. Other highlights of the trip include visiting UNESCO World Heritage site, visiting floating villages, markets, or a three-day overnight cruise on the Ha Long Bay.


Exploration Seminar: Haiti
Students get the chance to visit francophone Haiti to develop an understanding of the influence of multiple factors including history and culture on health perspectives and practices in Port au Prince, Haiti. Develop an understanding and appreciation for the rich traditions of the country and it's people through community life, service projects and museum visits.
