French Club Events
There are many events that you can choose to participate in with multiple events planned per month. Events include a l'heure du café every Friday, monthly movie nights, gastronomy night, our yearly trip to Winnipeg, weekends at Lac du Bois and more!
Every Friday from 9h20 to 10hr20, the French Club hosts a l'heure du café where students can come together, share their passions for francophone cultures, all while enjoying a hot cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and a delicious pastry.

Movie Nights
About once a month, the French Club hosts a movie night. French or English in origin, the movies are bien sûr en français, (but with english subtitles for those newer to la langue française).
Every February, the French Club travels to Winnipeg, Canada for the weekend to celebrate Festival du Voyageur. Students can celebrate Canada's French heritage through entertainment, arts, crafts, music and food.

Every year the French Club participates in Pangea, an event held by the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay Country. This event celebrates the diversity of our Fargo-Moorhead community, to which the French Club participates in selling crêpes!

Gastronomy Night
A night to enjoy la gastronomie française! At least a three course meal, students get to participate in cooking their french feast, and of course get to enjoy their hard work afterwards!
Concordia Language Village Retreat
Started in November, 2022, our French club, along with the other world languages of Concordia, spend a weekend immersed in culture! Students get the chance to try meals from each of the represented cultures, and also participate in activities in their language group. If you are curious, you can branch out and join another language group's activity!
National French Week
A week to celebrate French! This event, started by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATP), takes place around the first week of November. Here, French club puts on many events from the CLV retreat, movie and game nights, and events appreciating la cuisine francophone.

Celtic Festival
In the spring, the Concordia French Club joins the Celtic Festival put on by the city of Moorhead. One can come to enjoy the arts, history and culture of places like Brittany, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and more!
