November 3rd-9th marks National French Week in the United States, in which schools, communities and chapters apart of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) celebrate all things french throughout the week.
However, the Concordia French Club has decided to celebrate a little longer, running events everyday from the 2nd-11th!

On November 3rd, the French Club hosted a cheese and chocolate tasting for students in between their afternoon classes. Here students were able to swing by, taste our 6 different types of French brand cheeses, as well as some different chocolates, and vote on their favorites!
Our offered cheeses were:
Président Brie
Eiffel Tower Camembert
Laughing Cow Creamy Asiago Cheese Wedges
Boursin Bites (Garlic & Fine Herbs)
Baby Bell
Président Rondelé (Garlic & Fine Herbs)
Chocolates included a mix of:
Lindt Chocolate Truffles
Lindor Dark Chocolate w/Sea Salt
Godiva Milk Chocolate w/Caramel
Ghirardelli 70% Dark Chocolate

And now, counting the votes of many who came to judge... the winners!
Cheese:
Taking home the win for the cheeses were the Boursin bites! Loved by all, there was almost not a single person who didn't put this in their 1st or 2nd place spot.
2nd place was awarded to the Eiffel Tower Camembert, another popular cheese for the judges.
And last, but certainly not least, the rest all shared the spot for 3rd place.
Chocolate
The chocolates were a bit more of a toss up, but the decided winners sharing 1st place were the Lindt Chocolate Truffles and the Godiva Milk Chocolate w/Caramel.
If you are looking to try some of these delicious treats for yourself, you are in luck! You can find all of these exact foods in your local Hornbachers!
We will have to wait for next year to see if these winners will be able to stand up to the new competition for the next cheese and chocolate tasting.
